Human ACSL1 (Long-chain-fatty-acid--CoA Ligase 1) ELISA Kit
Human ACSL1 (Long-chain-fatty-acid--CoA Ligase 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (ACSL1) Long-chain-fatty-acid--CoA Ligase 1 ELISA Kit measures Long-Chain-Fatty-Acid--Coa Ligase 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ACSL1 antibody. ACSL1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ACSL1 Antibody is added and binds to ACSL1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ACSL1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ACSL1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Catalyzes the conversion of long-chain fatty acids to their active form acyl-CoAs for both synthesis of cellular lipids, and degradation via beta-oxidation (PubMed: 24269233, PubMed: 22633490, PubMed: 21242590). Preferentially uses palmitoleate, oleate and linoleate (PubMed: 24269233). Preferentially activates arachidonate than epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) or hydroxyeicosatrienoic acids (HETEs) (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
