Human ADCYAP1 (Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-activating Polypeptide) ELISA Kit

Human ADCYAP1 (Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-activating Polypeptide) ELISA Kit

The Human (ADCYAP1) Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-activating Polypeptide ELISA Kit measures Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ADCYAP1 antibody. ADCYAP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ADCYAP1 Antibody is added and binds to ADCYAP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ADCYAP1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ADCYAP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Binding to its receptor activates G proteins and stimulates adenylate cyclase in pituitary cells. Promotes neuron projection development through the RAPGEF2/Rap1/B-Raf/ERK pathway. In chromaffin cells, induces long-lasting increase of intracellular calcium concentrations and neuroendocrine secretion (By similarity). Involved in the control of glucose homeostasis, induces insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
