Human ALDH1A3 (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase Family 1 Member A3) ELISA Kit

Human ALDH1A3 (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase Family 1 Member A3) ELISA Kit

The Human (ALDH1A3) Aldehyde Dehydrogenase Family 1 Member A3 ELISA Kit measures Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 1 member A3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ALDH1A3 antibody. ALDH1A3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ALDH1A3 Antibody is added and binds to ALDH1A3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ALDH1A3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ALDH1A3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background NAD-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenase that catalyzes the formation of retinoic acid (PubMed:27759097). Has high activity with all-trans retinal, and has much lower in vitro activity with acetaldehyde (PubMed:27759097). Required for the biosynthesis of normal levels of retinoic acid in the embryonic ocular and nasal regions; retinoic acid is required for normal embryonic development of the eye and the nasal region (By similarity).
