The Human (ARHGEF4) Rho Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor 4 ELISA Kit measures Rho Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor 4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ARHGEF4 antibody. ARHGEF4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ARHGEF4 Antibody is added and binds to ARHGEF4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ARHGEF4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ARHGEF4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

The APC-ARHGEF4 complex seems to be involved in cell migration as well as in E-cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion. Required for MMP9 up-regulation via the JNK signaling pathway in colorectal tumor cells. Involved in tumor angiogenesis and may play a role in intestinal adenoma formation and tumor progression.
