The Porcine (IFNAR1) Interferon Alpha, Beta Receptor 1 ELISA Kit measures Interferon Alpha, Beta Receptor 1 in Porcine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Porcine IFNAR1 antibody. IFNAR1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Porcine IFNAR1 Antibody is added and binds to IFNAR1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IFNAR1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine IFNAR1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Component of the receptor for type I interferons, including interferons alpha, IFNB1 and IFNW1. Functions in general as heterodimer with IFNAR2. Type I interferon binding activates the JAK-STAT signaling cascade, and triggers tyrosine phosphorylation of a number of proteins including JAKs, TYK2, STAT proteins and the IFNR alpha- and beta-subunits themselves (By similarity).
