Porcine IL23A (Interleukin-23 Subunit Alpha) ELISA Kit

Porcine IL23A (Interleukin-23 Subunit Alpha) ELISA Kit

The Porcine (IL23A) Interleukin-23 Subunit Alpha ELISA Kit measures Interleukin-23 Subunit Alpha in Porcine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Porcine IL23A antibody. IL23A present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Porcine IL23A Antibody is added and binds to IL23A in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated IL23A antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine IL23A. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Associates with IL12B to form the IL-23 interleukin, a heterodimeric cytokine which functions in innate and adaptive immunity. IL-23 may constitute with IL-17 an acute response to infection in peripheral tissues. IL-23 binds to a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IL12RB1 and IL23R, activates the Jak-Stat signaling cascade, stimulates memory rather than naive T-cells and promotes production of proinflammatory cytokines. IL-23 induces autoimmune inflammation and thus may be responsible for autoimmune inflammatory diseases and may be important for tumorigenesis (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
