The Bovine (FGF1) Fibroblast Growth Factor 1 ELISA Kit measures Fibroblast Growth Factor 1 in Bovine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Bovine FGF1 antibody. FGF1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Bovine FGF1 Antibody is added and binds to FGF1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FGF1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Bovine FGF1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background

Binds to integrin ITGAV:ITGB3. Its binding to integrin, subsequent ternary complex formation with integrin and FGFR1, and the recruitment of PTPN11 to the complex are essential for FGF1 signaling.
