Bovine FN (Fibronectin) ELISA Kit
The Bovine (FN) Fibronectin ELISA Kit measures Fibronectin in Bovine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Bovine FN antibody. FN present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Bovine FN Antibody is added and binds to FN in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated FN antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Bovine FN. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Fibronectins bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape (By similarity).
Involved in osteoblast compaction through the fibronectin fibrillogenesis cell-mediated matrix assembly process, essential for osteoblast mineralization. Participates in the regulation of type I collagen deposition by osteoblasts (By similarity).
Binds fibronectin and induces fibril formation. This fibronectin polymer, named superfibronectin, exhibits enhanced adhesive properties.
