Bovine ITGAL (Integrin Alpha-L) ELISA Kit
The Bovine (ITGAL) Integrin Alpha-L ELISA Kit measures Integrin Alpha-L in Bovine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Bovine ITGAL antibody. ITGAL present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Bovine ITGAL Antibody is added and binds to ITGAL in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ITGAL antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Bovine ITGAL. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Integrin ITGAL/ITGB2 is a receptor for ICAM1, ICAM2, ICAM3 and ICAM4. Integrin ITGAL/ITGB2 is a receptor for F11R. Integrin ITGAL/ITGB2 is a receptor for the secreted form of ubiquitin-like protein ISG15; the interaction is mediated by ITGAL. Involved in a variety of immune phenomena including leukocyte-endothelial cell interaction, cytotoxic T-cell mediated killing, and antibody dependent killing by granulocytes and monocytes. Contributes to natural killer cell cytotoxicity. Involved in leukocyte adhesion and transmigration of leukocytes including T-cells and neutrophils. Required for generation of common lymphoid progenitor cells in bone marrow, indicating the role in lymphopoiesis.
