Human 5-HTR7 (5-Hydroxytryptamine Receptor 7) ELISA Kit
Human 5-HTR7 (5-Hydroxytryptamine Receptor 7) ELISA Kit
The Human (5-HTR7) 5-Hydroxytryptamine Receptor 7 ELISA Kit measures 5-Hydroxytryptamine Receptor 7 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HTR7 antibody. HTR7 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HTR7 Antibody is added and binds to HTR7 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HTR7 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HTR7. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
This is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that stimulate adenylate cyclase. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
