Human A1BG (Alpha-1B-glycoprotein) ELISA Kit
The Human (A1BG) Alpha-1B-glycoprotein ELISA Kit measures Alpha-1B-glycoprotein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human A1BG antibody. A1BG present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human A1BG Antibody is added and binds to A1BG in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated A1BG antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human A1BG. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Alpha-1-B glycoprotein is a 54.3 kDa protein in humans that is encoded by the A1BG gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a plasma glycoprotein of unknown function. The protein shows sequence similarity to the variable regions of some immunoglobulin supergene family member proteins. Patients who have pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma show an overexpression of A1BG in pancreatic juice. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
