The Human (ABCC1) Multidrug Resistance-associated Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Multidrug Resistance-Associated Protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ABCC1 antibody. ABCC1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ABCC1 Antibody is added and binds to ABCC1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ABCC1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ABCC1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Confers resistance to anticancer drugs by decreasing accumulation of drug in cells, and by mediating ATP- and GSH-dependent drug export (PubMed: 9281595). Hydrolyzes ATP with low efficiency (PubMed: 16230346). Catalyzes the export of sphingosine 1-phosphate from mast cells independently of their degranulation (PubMed: 17050692).
