Human ABO (Histo-Biood Group Abo System Transferase) ELISA Kit
Human ABO (Histo-Biood Group Abo System Transferase) ELISA Kit
The Human (ABO) Histo-Biood Group Abo System Transferase ELISA Kit measures Histo-Biood Group Abo System Transferase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ABO antibody. ABO present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ABO Antibody is added and binds to ABO in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ABO antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ABO. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
This protein is the basis of the ABO blood group system. The histo-blood group ABO involves three carbohydrate antigens: A, B, and H. A, B, and AB individuals express a glycosyltransferase activity that converts the H antigen to the A antigen (by addition of UDP-GalNAc) or to the B antigen (by addition of UDP-Gal), whereas O individuals lack such activity.
