Human ADIPOR1 (Adiponectin Receptor Protein 1) ELISA Kit
Human ADIPOR1 (Adiponectin Receptor Protein 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (ADIPOR1) Adiponectin Receptor Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Adiponectin Receptor Protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ADIPOR1 antibody. ADIPOR1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ADIPOR1 Antibody is added and binds to ADIPOR1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ADIPOR1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ADIPOR1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Receptor for ADIPOQ, an essential hormone secreted by adipocytes that regulates glucose and lipid metabolism (PubMed: 25855295, PubMed: 12802337). Required for normal glucose and fat homeostasis and for maintaining a normal body weight. ADIPOQ-binding activates a signaling cascade that leads to increased AMPK activity, and ultimately to increased fatty acid oxidation, increased glucose uptake and decreased gluconeogenesis. Has high affinity for globular adiponectin and low affinity for full-length adiponectin (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
