The Human (AEBP1) Adipocyte Enhancer-binding Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Adipocyte Enhancer-Binding Protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human AEBP1 antibody. AEBP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human AEBP1 Antibody is added and binds to AEBP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated AEBP1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human AEBP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

[Isoform 1]: As a positive regulator of collagen fibrillogenesis, it is probably involved in the organization and remodeling of the extracellular matrix. [Isoform 2]: May positively regulate MAP-kinase activity in adipocytes, leading to enhanced adipocyte proliferation and reduced adipocyte differentiation. May also positively regulate NF-kappa-B activity in macrophages by promoting the phosphorylation and subsequent degradation of I-kappa-B-alpha (NFKBIA), leading to enhanced macrophage inflammatory responsiveness.
