Human AGXT (Serine-pyruvate Aminotransferase) ELISA Kit
Human AGXT (Serine-pyruvate Aminotransferase) ELISA Kit
The Human (AGXT) Serine-pyruvate Aminotransferase ELISA Kit measures Serine--pyruvate aminotransferase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human AGXT antibody. AGXT present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human AGXT Antibody is added and binds to AGXT in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated AGXT antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human AGXT. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Serine—pyruvate aminotransferase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the AGXT gene. This gene is expressed only in the liver and the encoded protein is localized mostly in the peroxisomes, where it is involved in glyoxylate detoxification. Mutations in this gene, some of which alter subcellular targeting, have been associated with type I primary hyperoxaluria. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
