The Human (CTNND1) Catenin Delta 1 ELISA Kit measures Catenin Delta 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CTNND1 antibody. CTNND1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CTNND1 Antibody is added and binds to CTNND1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CTNND1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CTNND1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Beside cell-cell adhesion, regulates gene transcription through several transcription factors including ZBTB33/Kaiso2 and GLIS2, and the activity of Rho family GTPases and downstream cytoskeletal dynamics (PubMed: 10207085, PubMed: 20371349).
