Human DNASE-1 (Deoxyribonuclease 1) ELISA Kit
Human DNASE-1 (Deoxyribonuclease 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (DNASE-1) Deoxyribonuclease 1 ELISA Kit measures Deoxyribonuclease 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human DNase-1 antibody. DNase-1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human DNase-1 Antibody is added and binds to DNase-1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated DNase-1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human DNase-1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
A deoxyribonuclease (DNase, for short) is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolytic cleavage of phosphodiester linkages in the DNA backbone, thus degrading DNA. Deoxyribonucleases are one type of nuclease, a generic term for enzymes capable of hydrolyzing phosphodiester bonds that link nucleotides. A wide variety of deoxyribonucleases are known, which differ in their substrate specificities, chemical mechanisms, and biological functions. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
