Human ETFDH (Electron Transfer Flavoprotein-ubiquinone Oxidoreductase, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit

Human ETFDH (Electron Transfer Flavoprotein-ubiquinone Oxidoreductase, Mitochondrial) ELISA Kit

The Human (ETFDH) Electron Transfer Flavoprotein-ubiquinone Oxidoreductase, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit measures Electron transfer flavoprotein-ubiquinone oxidoreductase, mitochondrial in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ETFDH antibody. ETFDH present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ETFDH Antibody is added and binds to ETFDH in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ETFDH antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ETFDH. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Electron transfer flavoprotein-ubiquinone oxidoreductase, mitochondrial is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ETFDH gene. This gene encodes a component of the electron-transfer system in mitochondria and is essential for electron transfer from a number of mitochondrial flavin-containing dehydrogenases to the main respiratory chain.
