Human G6PD (Glucose-6-phosphate 1-dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
Human G6PD (Glucose-6-phosphate 1-dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
The Human (G6PD) Glucose-6-phosphate 1-dehydrogenase ELISA Kit measures Glucose-6-Phosphate 1-Dehydrogenase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human G6PD antibody. G6PD present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human G6PD Antibody is added and binds to G6PD in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated G6PD antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human G6PD. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Catalyzes the rate-limiting step of the oxidative pentose-phosphate pathway, which represents a route for the dissimilation of carbohydrates besides glycolysis. The main function of this enzyme is to provide reducing power (NADPH) and pentose phosphates for fatty acid and nucleic acid synthesis. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
