Human ITGB8 (Integrin Beta-8) ELISA Kit
Human ITGB8 (Integrin Beta-8) ELISA Kit
The Human (ITGB8) Integrin Beta-8 ELISA Kit measures Integrin Beta-8 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ITGB8 antibody. ITGB8 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ITGB8 Antibody is added and binds to ITGB8 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ITGB8 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ITGB8. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Integrin alpha-V:beta-8 (ITGAV:ITGB8) is a receptor for fibronectin (PubMed: 1918072). It recognizes the sequence R-G-D in its ligands (PubMed: 1918072). Integrin alpha-V:beta-6 (ITGAV:ITGB6) mediates R-G-D-dependent release of transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-beta-1) from regulatory Latency-associated Peptide (LAP), thereby playing a key role in TGF-beta-1 activation on the surface of activated regulatory T-cells (Tregs) (Probable). Required during vasculogenesis (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
