The Human (JTB) Protein Jtb ELISA Kit measures Protein JTB in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human JTB antibody. JTB present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human JTB Antibody is added and binds to JTB in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated JTB antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human JTB. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Required for normal cytokinesis during mitosis. Plays a role in the regulation of cell proliferation. May be a component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC), a complex that acts as a key regulator of mitosis. The CPC complex has essential functions at the centromere in ensuring correct chromosome alignment and segregation and is required for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. Increases AURKB activity. Inhibits apoptosis induced by TGFB1 (By similarity).
