Human KCNJ15 (Atp-sensitive Inward Rectifier Potassium Channel 15) ELISA Kit

Human KCNJ15 (Atp-sensitive Inward Rectifier Potassium Channel 15) ELISA Kit

The Human (KCNJ15) Atp-sensitive Inward Rectifier Potassium Channel 15 ELISA Kit measures ATP-sensitive inward rectifier potassium Channel 15 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human KCNJ15 antibody. KCNJ15 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human KCNJ15 Antibody is added and binds to KCNJ15 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated KCNJ15 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human KCNJ15. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Inward rectifier potassium channels are characterized by a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into the cell rather than out of it. Their voltage dependence is regulated by the concentration of extracellular potassium; as external potassium is raised, the voltage range of the channel opening shifts to more positive voltages. The inward rectification is mainly due to the blockage of outward current by internal magnesium. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
