Human KHSRP (Far Upstream Element-binding Protein 2) ELISA Kit
Human KHSRP (Far Upstream Element-binding Protein 2) ELISA Kit
The Human (KHSRP) Far Upstream Element-binding Protein 2 ELISA Kit measures Far Upstream Element-Binding Protein 2 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human KHSRP antibody. KHSRP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human KHSRP Antibody is added and binds to KHSRP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated KHSRP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human KHSRP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Binds to the dendritic targeting element and may play a role in mRNA trafficking (By similarity). Part of a ternary complex that binds to the downstream control sequence (DCS) of the pre-mRNA. Mediates exon inclusion in transcripts that are subject to tissue-specific alternative splicing. May interact with single-stranded DNA from the far-upstream element (FUSE). May activate gene expression. Also involved in degradation of inherently unstable mRNAs that contain AU-rich elements (AREs) in their 3'-UTR, possibly by recruiting degradation machinery to ARE-containing mRNAs.
