Human KIM-1 (Kidney Injury Molecule 1) ELISA Kit
Human KIM-1 (Kidney Injury Molecule 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (KIM-1) Kidney Injury Molecule 1 ELISA Kit measures Kidney Injury Molecule 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human HAVCR1 antibody. HAVCR1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human HAVCR1 Antibody is added and binds to HAVCR1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated HAVCR1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human HAVCR1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
May play a role in T-helper cell development and the regulation of asthma and allergic diseases. Receptor for TIMD4 (By similarity). May play a role in kidney injury and repair. (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Hepatitis A virus. (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Ebolavirus and Marburg virus by binding exposed phosphatidyl-serine at the surface of virion membrane (PubMed: 21536871). Serves as a dual receptor for Ebolavirus by also interacting with envelope glycoprotein GP (PubMed: 26487564). (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Dengue virus by binding exposed phosphatidyl-serine at the surface of virion membrane. (Microbial infection) Acts as a receptor for Zika virus by binding to envelope protein E. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
