Human KLK10 (Kallikrein 10) ELISA Kit

Human KLK10 (Kallikrein 10) ELISA Kit

The Human (KLK10) Kallikrein 10 ELISA Kit measures Kallikrein 10 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human KLK10 antibody. KLK10 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human KLK10 Antibody is added and binds to KLK10 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated KLK10 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human KLK10. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Kallikrein-10 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KLK10 gene. Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Its encoded protein is secreted and may play a role in suppression of tumorigenesis in breast and prostate cancers. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
