Human LAMA3 (Laminin Subunit Alpha-3) ELISA Kit
Human LAMA3 (Laminin Subunit Alpha-3) ELISA Kit
The Human (LAMA3) Laminin Subunit Alpha-3 ELISA Kit measures Laminin Subunit Alpha-3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human LAMA3 antibody. LAMA3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human LAMA3 Antibody is added and binds to LAMA3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated LAMA3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human LAMA3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. Laminin-5 is thought to be involved in (1) cell adhesion via integrin alpha-3/beta-1 in focal adhesion and integrin alpha-6/beta-4 in hemidesmosomes, (2) signal transduction via tyrosine phosphorylation of pp125-FAK and p80, (3) differentiation of keratinocytes.
