The Human Lingo 1 ELISA Kit measures Leucine-rich repeat and immunoglobulin-like domain-containing nogo receptor-interacting protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human LINGO1 antibody. LINGO1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human LINGO1 Antibody is added and binds to LINGO1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated LINGO1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human LINGO1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
BackgroundFunctional component of the Nogo receptor signaling complex (RTN4R/NGFR) in RhoA activation responsible for some inhibition of axonal regeneration by myelin-associated factors (PubMed:14966521, PubMed:15694321).
Is also an important negative regulator of oligodentrocyte differentiation and axonal myelination (PubMed:15895088).
Acts in conjunction with RTN4 and RTN4R in regulating neuronal precursor cell motility during cortical development (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
