Human M-ACHR M2 (Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor M2) ELISA Kit
Human M-ACHR M2 (Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor M2) ELISA Kit
The Human (M-ACHR M2) Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor M2 ELISA Kit measures Muscarinic Acetylcholine Receptor M2 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human CHRM2 antibody. CHRM2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human CHRM2 Antibody is added and binds to CHRM2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated CHRM2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human CHRM2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
The muscarinic acetylcholine receptor mediates various cellular responses, including inhibition of adenylate cyclase, breakdown of phosphoinositides and modulation of potassium Channels through the action of G proteins. Primary transducing effect is adenylate cyclase inhibition. Signaling promotes phospholipase C activity, leading to the release of inositol trisphosphate (IP3); this then triggers calcium ion release into the cytosol. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
