Human MCM6 (DNA Replication Licensing Factor Mcm6) ELISA Kit
Human MCM6 (DNA Replication Licensing Factor Mcm6) ELISA Kit
The Human (MCM6) DNA Replication Licensing Factor Mcm6 ELISA Kit measures Dna Replication Licensing Factor MCM6 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MCM6 antibody. MCM6 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MCM6 Antibody is added and binds to MCM6 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MCM6 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MCM6. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Acts as component of the MCM2-7 complex (MCM complex) which is the putative replicative helicase essential for 'once per cell cycle' DNA replication initiation and elongation in eukaryotic cells. The active ATPase sites in the MCM2-7 ring are formed through the interaction surfaces of two neighboring subunits such that a critical structure of a conserved arginine finger motif is provided in trans relative to the ATP-binding site of the Walker A box of the adjacent subunit. The six ATPase active sites, however, are likely to contribute differentially to the complex helicase activity. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
