Human MCM7 (DNA Replication Licensing Factor Mcm7) ELISA Kit
Human MCM7 (DNA Replication Licensing Factor Mcm7) ELISA Kit
The Human (MCM7) DNA Replication Licensing Factor Mcm7 ELISA Kit measures Dna Replication Licensing Factor MCM7 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MCM7 antibody. MCM7 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MCM7 Antibody is added and binds to MCM7 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MCM7 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MCM7. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Acts as component of the MCM2-7 complex (MCM complex) which is the putative replicative helicase essential for 'once per cell cycle' DNA replication initiation and elongation in eukaryotic cells. The active ATPase sites in the MCM2-7 ring are formed through the interaction surfaces of two neighboring subunits such that a critical structure of a conserved arginine finger motif is provided in trans relative to the ATP-binding site of the Walker A box of the adjacent subunit. The six ATPase active sites, however, are likely to contribute differentially to the complex helicase activity. Required for S-phase checkpoint activation upon UV-induced damage.
