The Human (MEMO1) Protein Memo1 ELISA Kit measures Protein MEMO1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MEMO1 antibody. MEMO1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MEMO1 Antibody is added and binds to MEMO1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MEMO1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MEMO1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
May control cell migration by relaying extracellular chemotactic signals to the microtubule cytoskeleton. Mediator of ERBB2 signaling. The MEMO1-RHOA-DIAPH1 signaling pathway plays an important role in ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex. It controls the localization of APC and CLASP2 to the cell membrane, via the regulation of GSK3B activity. In turn, membrane-bound APC allows the localization of the MACF1 to the cell membrane, which is required for microtubule capture and stabilization. Is required for breast carcinoma cell migration.
