The Human (MEN1) Menin ELISA Kit measures Menin in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MEN1 antibody. MEN1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MEN1 Antibody is added and binds to MEN1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MEN1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MEN1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Essential component of a MLL/SET1 histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex, a complex that specifically methylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3 (H3K4). Functions as a transcriptional regulator. Binds to the TERT promoter and represses telomerase expression. Plays a role in TGFB1-mediated inhibition of cell-proliferation, possibly regulating SMAD3 transcriptional activity. Represses JUND-mediated transcriptional activation on AP1 sites, as well as that mediated by NFKB subunit RELA. Positively regulates HOXC8 and HOXC6 gene expression.
