Human MMP-7 (Matrix Metalloproteinase 7) ELISA Kit
Human MMP-7 (Matrix Metalloproteinase 7) ELISA Kit
The Human (MMP-7) Matrix Metalloproteinase 7 ELISA Kit measures Matrix Metalloproteinase 7 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MMP-7 antibody. MMP- 7 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MMP-7 Antibody is added and binds to MMP-7 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MMP-7 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MMP-7. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Matrilysin also known as matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7), pump-1 protease (PUMP-1), or uterine metalloproteinase is an enzyme in humans that is encoded by the MMP7 gene. The enzyme (EC 3.4.24.23) has also been known as matrin, putative (or punctuated) metalloproteinase-1, matrix metalloproteinase pump 1, PUMP-1 proteinase, PUMP, metalloproteinase pump-1, putative metalloproteinase, MMP). Human MMP-7 has a molecular weight around 30 kDa. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
