Human MSMB (Beta-Microseminoprotein) ELISA Kit
Human MSMB (Beta-Microseminoprotein) ELISA Kit
The Human (MSMB) Beta-Microseminoprotein ELISA Kit measures Beta-microseminoprotein in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MSMB antibody. MSMB present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MSMB Antibody is added and binds to MSMB in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MSMB antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MSMB. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Beta-microseminoprotein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MSMB gene. For historical reasons, the scientific literature may also refer to this protein as Prostate secretory protein 94 (PSP94), microseminoprotein (MSP), microseminoprotein-beta (MSMB), beta-inhibitin, prostatic inhibin peptide (PIP), and inhibitin like material (ILM).
