Human MVD (Diphosphomevalonate Decarboxylase) ELISA Kit
Human MVD (Diphosphomevalonate Decarboxylase) ELISA Kit
The Human (MVD) Diphosphomevalonate Decarboxylase ELISA Kit measures Diphosphomevalonate decarboxylase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MVD antibody. MVD present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MVD Antibody is added and binds to MVD in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MVD antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MVD. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Catalyzes the ATP dependent decarboxylation of (R)-5-diphosphomevalonate to form isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP). Functions in the mevalonate (MVA) pathway leading to isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP), a key precursor for the biosynthesis of isoprenoids and sterol synthesis. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
