Human MX2 (Interferon-induced Gtp-binding Protein Mx2) ELISA Kit
Human MX2 (Interferon-induced Gtp-binding Protein Mx2) ELISA Kit
The Human (MX2) Interferon-induced Gtp-binding Protein Mx2 ELISA Kit measures Interferon-Induced Gtp-Binding Protein Mx2 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human MX2 antibody. MX2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human MX2 Antibody is added and binds to MX2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated MX2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human MX2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Interferon-induced dynamin-like GTPase with potent antiviral activity against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1). Acts by targeting the viral capsid and affects the nuclear uptake and/or stability of the HIV-1 replication complex and the subsequent chromosomal integration of the proviral DNA. Exhibits antiviral activity also against simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV-mnd). May play a role in regulating nucleocytoplasmic transport and cell-cycle progression.
