The Human (NCOA3) Nuclear Receptor Coactivator 3 ELISA Kit measures Nuclear receptor coactivator 3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human NCOA3 antibody. NCOA3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human NCOA3 Antibody is added and binds to NCOA3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NCOA3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human NCOA3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Nuclear receptor coactivator that directly binds nuclear receptors and stimulates the transcriptional activities in a hormone-dependent fashion. Plays a central role in creating a multisubunit coactivator complex, which probably acts via remodeling of chromatin. Involved in the coactivation of different nuclear receptors, such as for steroids (GR and ER), retinoids (RARs and RXRs), thyroid hormone (TRs), vitamin D3 (VDR) and prostanoids (PPARs). Displays histone acetyltransferase activity. Also involved in the coactivation of the NF-kappa-B pathway via its interaction with the NFKB1 subunit. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
