Human NDP (Norrin) ELISA Kit
The Human (NDP) Norrin ELISA Kit measures Norrin in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human NDP antibody. NDP present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human NDP Antibody is added and binds to NDP in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NDP antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human NDP. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Activates the canonical Wnt signaling pathway through FZD4 and LRP5 coreceptor. Plays a central role in retinal vascularization by acting as a ligand for FZD4 that signals via stabilizing beta-catenin (CTNNB1) and activating LEF/TCF-mediated transcriptional programs. Acts in concert with TSPAN12 to activate FZD4 independently of the Wnt-dependent activation of FZD4, suggesting the existence of a Wnt-independent signaling that also promote accumulation the beta-catenin (CTNNB1).
