Human NOTUM (Protein Notum Homolog) ELISA Kit

Human NOTUM (Protein Notum Homolog) ELISA Kit

The Human (NOTUM) Protein Notum Homolog ELISA Kit measures Protein notum homolog in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human NOTUM antibody. NOTUM present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human NOTUM Antibody is added and binds to NOTUM in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NOTUM antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human NOTUM. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background The notum (plural nota) is the dorsal portion of an insect's thoracic segment, or the dorsal surface of the body of nudibranch gastropods. The word "notum" is always applied to dorsal structures; in other words structures that are part of the back of an animal, as opposed to being part of the animal's ventral surface, or underside. This word is used in entomology, the study of insects, and in malacology, the study of mollusks. In malacology the word is used to describe the back of the body of the taxonomic group of marine, shell-less gastropods that are known as nudibranchs. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
