Human NTM (Neurotrimin) ELISA Kit
Human NTM (Neurotrimin) ELISA Kit
The Human (NTM) Neurotrimin ELISA Kit measures Neurotrimin in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human NTM antibody. NTM present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human NTM Antibody is added and binds to NTM in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NTM antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human NTM. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Neurotrimin is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NTM gene. This gene encodes a member of the IgLON (LAMP, OBCAM, Ntm) family of immunoglobulin (Ig) domain-containing glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell adhesion molecules. The encoded protein may promote neurite outgrowth and adhesion via a homophilic mechanism. This gene is closely linked to a related family member, opioid binding protein/cell adhesion molecule-like (OPCML) on chromosome 11. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been found but only two variants have had their full-length sequences determined. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
