Human NUDT1 (7, 8-Dihydro-8-oxoguanine Triphosphatase) ELISA Kit
Human NUDT1 (7, 8-Dihydro-8-oxoguanine Triphosphatase) ELISA Kit
The Human (NUDT1) 7, 8-Dihydro-8-oxoguanine Triphosphatase ELISA Kit measures 7,8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine triphosphatase in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human NUDT1 antibody. NUDT1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human NUDT1 Antibody is added and binds to NUDT1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NUDT1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human NUDT1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
2-hydroxy-dATP diphosphatase (EC 3.6.1.56, also known as oxidized purine nucleoside triphosphatase, or (2'-deoxy) ribonucleoside 5'-triphosphate pyrophosphohydrolase, or Nudix hydrolase 1 (NUDT1), or MutT homolog 1 (MTH1), or 7,8-dihydro-8-oxoguanine triphosphatase) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the NUDT1 gene. During DNA repair, the enzyme hydrolyses oxidized purines and prevents their addition onto the DNA chain. As such it has important role in aging and cancer development.
