Human PF-4 (Platelet Factor 4) ELISA Kit
The Human (PF-4) Platelet Factor 4 ELISA Kit measures Platelet Factor 4 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human PF4 antibody. PF4 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PF4 Antibody is added and binds to PF4 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PF4 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PF4. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Released during platelet aggregation. Neutralizes the anticoagulant effect of heparin because it binds more strongly to heparin than to the chondroitin-4-sulfate chains of the carrier molecule.
