The Human (PPP1R1A) Protein Phosphatase 1 Regulatory Subunit 1A ELISA Kit measures Protein Phosphatase 1 Regulatory Subunit 1A in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human PPP1R1A antibody. PPP1R1A present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PPP1R1A Antibody is added and binds to PPP1R1A in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PPP1R1A antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PPP1R1A. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Inhibitor of protein-phosphatase 1. This protein may be important in hormonal control of glycogen metabolism. Hormones that elevate intracellular cAMP increase I-1 activity in many tissues. I-1 activation may impose cAMP control over proteins that are not directly phosphorylated by PKA.
