Human PRB1 (Basic Salivary Proline Rich Protein 1) ELISA Kit
Human PRB1 (Basic Salivary Proline Rich Protein 1) ELISA Kit
The Human (PRB1) Basic Salivary Proline Rich Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Basic Salivary Proline Rich Protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human PRB1 antibody. PRB1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PRB1 Antibody is added and binds to PRB1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PRB1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PRB1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Basic salivary proline-rich protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PRB1 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a proline-rich salivary protein. This gene and five other genes that also encode salivary proline-rich proteins (PRPs), as well as a gene encoding a lacrimal gland PRP, form a PRP gene cluster in the chromosomal 12p13 region. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described. Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
