The Human (PSME3) Proteasome Activator Complex Subunit 3 ELISA Kit measures Proteasome activator complex subunit 3 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human PSME3 antibody. PSME3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PSME3 Antibody is added and binds to PSME3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PSME3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PSME3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Subunit of the 11S REG-gamma (also called PA28-gamma) proteasome regulator, a doughnut-shaped homoheptamer which associates with the proteasome. 11S REG-gamma activates the trypsin-like catalytic subunit of the proteasome but inhibits the chymotrypsin-like and postglutamyl-preferring (PGPH) subunits. Facilitates the MDM2-p53/TP53 interaction which promotes ubiquitination- and MDM2-dependent proteasomal degradation of p53/TP53, limiting its accumulation and resulting in inhibited apoptosis after DNA damage.
