The Human (PSTPIP1) Proline-serine-threonine Phosphatase-interacting Protein 1 ELISA Kit measures Proline-serine-threonine phosphatase-interacting protein 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human PSTPIP1 antibody. PSTPIP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human PSTPIP1 Antibody is added and binds to PSTPIP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated PSTPIP1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human PSTPIP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Involved in regulation of the actin cytoskeleton. May regulate WAS actin-bundling activity. Bridges the interaction between ABL1 and PTPN18 leading to ABL1 dephosphorylation. May play a role as a scaffold protein between PTPN12 and WAS and allow PTPN12 to dephosphorylate WAS. Has the potential to physically couple CD2 and CD2AP to WAS. Acts downstream of CD2 and CD2AP to recruit WAS to the T-cell:APC contact site so as to promote the actin polymerization required for synapse induction during T-cell activation (By similarity). Induces formation of pyroptosomes, large supramolecular structures composed of oligomerized PYCARD dimers which form prior to inflammatory apoptosis.
