The Human (ROMO1) Reactive Oxygen Species Modulator 1 ELISA Kit measures Reactive Oxygen Species Modulator 1 in samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Human ROMO1 antibody. ROMO1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human ROMO1 Antibody is added and binds to ROMO1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ROMO1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human ROMO1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Induces production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) which are necessary for cell proliferation. May play a role in inducing oxidative DNA damage and replicative senescence. May play a role in the coordination of mitochondrial morphology and cell proliferation. Has antibacterial activity against a variety of bacteria including S.aureus, P.aeruginosa and M.tuberculosis.
