Porcine SDH (Succinate Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
Porcine SDH (Succinate Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit
The Porcine (SDH) Succinate Dehydrogenase ELISA Kit measures Succinate Dehydrogenase in Porcine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Porcine SDH antibody. SDH present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Porcine SDH Antibody is added and binds to SDH in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated SDH antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine SDH. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background
Polyol dehydrogenase that catalyzes the reversible NAD+-dependent oxidation of various sugar alcohols. Is active with xylitol, L-iditol and D-sorbitol (D-glucitol) as substrates, leading to the C2-oxidized products D-xylulose, L-sorbose and D-fructose, respectively (By similarity).
Is a key enzyme in the polyol pathway that interconverts glucose and fructose via sorbitol, which constitutes an important alternate route for glucose metabolism. May play a role in sperm motility by using sorbitol as an alternative energy source for sperm motility (By similarity). Source: UniProt Consortium (2025)
