Porcine TRYPSIN (Trypsin) ELISA Kit

Porcine TRYPSIN (Trypsin) ELISA Kit

The Porcine (TRYPSIN) Trypsin ELISA Kit measures Trypsin in Porcine samples. The plate has been pre-coated with Porcine trypsin antibody. trypsin present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Porcine trypsin Antibody is added and binds to trypsin in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated trypsin antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine trypsin. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Background Trypsin (EC 3.4.21.4) is a serine protease from the PA clan superfamily, found in the digestive system of many vertebrates, where it hydrolyzes proteins. Trypsin is formed in the small intestine when its proenzyme form, the trypsinogen produced by the pancreas, is activated. Trypsin cuts peptide chains mainly at the carboxyl side of the amino acids lysine or arginine. It is used for numerous biotechnological processes. The process is commonly referred to as trypsin proteolysis or trypsinization, and proteins that have been digested/treated with trypsin are said to have been trypsinized.
